Make a Difference Through Community Service at UT Prep

At UT Prep, community service isn’t just a requirement — it’s a reflection of who we are. We are committed to developing compassionate, responsible leaders who understand the value of giving back. From our youngest students learning the joy of helping others through small, meaningful acts, to our Upper School students leading initiatives, organizing drives, and partnering with local organizations, service is woven into the fabric of student life. At UT Prep, every act of service is an opportunity to grow, connect, and make a lasting impact — both in our community and beyond.

A Year-Round Commitment to Giving Back

Day of Service

Each year, the UT Prep community comes together for a dedicated Day of Service. Students partner with local organizations across our community to support meaningful initiatives — from environmental cleanups and food bank support to assisting community centres and senior residences. Working alongside classmates and teachers, students strengthen relationships, build leadership skills, and experience firsthand the impact of collective action.

Holiday Outreach Initiative

During the winter season, UT Prep students lead a school-wide Holiday Outreach Initiative in support of local families. Through fundraising efforts, food and clothing drives, and community partnerships, students help ensure families in need feel supported during the holidays. This longstanding tradition reflects our commitment to service learning and civic responsibility — values that are central to the Canadian educational experience and to life at UT Prep.
